Dear Friends and Neighbors in the Buckhead Business
The 5th Annual Black, Silver and Red Hot
Jazz Gala Fundraiser for North Atlanta High School will be held on Saturday,
April 24th at the Temple in Midtown Atlanta. We are writing to ask your support and
to share with you the exciting momentum building at our neighborhood public
North Atlanta is the only public high school in
Atlanta that serves the vibrant Buckhead community. North Atlanta draws from every neighborhood in Buckhead,
from Brookhaven to Brookwood Hills; from Chastain Park to Pine Hills, from
Adams Drive to Garden Hills.
Located on Northside Drive, North Atlanta was formed when North Fulton
and Northside high schools merged.
In fact, there are few “old” Atlanta families who do not claim one of
these schools as part of their personal legacy! Furthermore, new families move to Buckhead neighborhoods
because it boasts some of the top performing public schools in the state.
North Atlanta is experiencing exciting changes. As part of its high school
transformation efforts, the school district is creating community based high
schools. This initiative, in addition to the explosion in Buckhead’s public
school attendance, resulted in a realignment of North Atlanta’s attendance
zone. The zone was reduced in size
and now includes only the following schools: Sutton Middle and elementary schools Smith, Jackson,
Brandon, Bolton, Garden Hills and E. Rivers. In addition, Atlanta Public Schools has announced that North
Atlanta will be moved into a brand new campus in Buckhead in 2013. North
Atlanta’s current campus will become a second middle school serving Buckhead,
at which point two Buckhead middle schools will feed into what promises to be
the most “state of the art” high school campus in Georgia.
As an important member of Buckhead’s business
community, we invite you to join the momentum! The North Atlanta High School Foundation is proud to
present the 5th annual Black, Silver and Red Hot Jazz Gala Fundraiser. This event brings together parents,
alumni and community leaders for fellowship and fundraising. There will be
music by the award winning North Atlanta Jazz Band, an honored guest, dinner,
and an auction.
Proceeds from Red Hot Jazz will benefit each of the school’s small
learning communities: Business
& Learning, The Center for the Arts, and International Studies.
In order to ensure a successful evening, we need your
support, and ask that you consider sponsoring this event. Several sponsorship
levels are available, including a lead sponsorship at $5,000. As a sponsor of Red Hot Jazz, you
will receive the gratitude of the entire school community. You will also have multiple
opportunities to promote your business and/or your brand. This event will be advertised at every
feeder school mentioned above (the families of roughly 7,000 students in
Buckhead); It will be promoted on the North Atlanta and on the Center for the
Arts website. You will have the
opportunity to include literature about your business in a “goodie” bag for
attendees, which we expect to number 300.
You will be acknowledged on the invitations and in the auction program. Finally, you will be listed in the
Fall, 2010 school directory as a supporter of the North Atlanta High School
Foundation. Please see the
enclosed sponsorship packet for further details!
Please consider partnering with this very worthwhile
cause and become part of the exciting momentum at North Atlanta High
School. We are willing to work
with you if you have any unique ideas that you would like to incorporate as
part of your sponsorship! We just
really want to get you involved!
you for your support.
